Actions to build positive self-talk inside your thinking brain.
Stop the negative: Once negative self-talk is identified, learn to "park it" or stop it. Saying, "park it," or visualising a big, red stop sign being there can halt negative thinking.
Replace with Positive: Imagine that the mind is like a bucket and when it is filled to the top with positive thoughts, there is no room for negative self-talk.
You need to identify positive self-talk in advance and replace the negative thoughts with the previously identified positive ones.
* List five (5) positive things about you:

______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
Tell yourself what you CAN do: Focus on what you can do, not on what you cannot do.
Make a list of all the things you can do, e.g. ride a bike, play football, cook, etc.
Now make the list relevant to a particular part of your life, for example:
My list of what I CAN DO at work:
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
______________________________________________________
Don't judge yourself on whether you are perfect at the task or activity; just list what you can do.

I say to myself that "it is just a thought" - and then, let that negative thought drop away (you should feel a difference). Cheers.k.
