Scenario

Be still and listen to the stillness within - Darlene Larson Jenks.

No answer eludes us if we turn to the source of all answers-the stillness within.  Prayer accompanied by meditation will always provide the answers we need for the situations facing us.  The answers we want are not guaranteed, however.  We must trust that we will be directed to take the right steps.  Our well-being is assured if we let go of being the one in control and turn our wills over to the care of God, our messenger within.

How comforting to know that all answers are as close as our quiet moments.  God never chooses to keep the answers from us.  We simply fail to quiet our thoughts long enough to heed them.  Our minds race, obsessively, all too often.  We jump from one scenario to another, one fear to another, one emotion to another.  And each time our thoughts capture a new focus, we push the answer we seek further into the background.
______________

The process is simple, if I want to follow it.  The answers await me if I truly want them.  I need only sit quietly and ask God to offer the guidance I need.  And then I will sit quietly some more.

~ "cutting the Mustard" .. ~

Sent: Sunday, August 17, 2008 7:46 AM Subject: "cutting the mustard"..

"God hopes for and does require me to personally reflect the ambience of the Master (Jesus my Lord and Saviour) in the Life He has given me! ref. James 1:19, 20, 21, 22: "Understand (this), my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear (a ready listener), slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. *'Offense' IS the bait OF SATAN (*James 4:7 "So, be subject to God. Resist the devil (STAND FIRM against him), and, he will flee from you". 20 For man's anger does not promote the righteousness God (hopes for and requires). 21 So, get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted (in your hearts) contains the power to save your souls! 22 But, be doers of the Word (obey the message), and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves (into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth)." ref. Matthew 10:16: "Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be wary and wise as Serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless, and without falsity) as Doves (cross ref. Genesis 3:1)." ref. Proverbs 3:7: "Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and Worship the Lord and turn (entirely) away from evil (cross ref. Proverbs 8:13)." ref. Proverbs 7:1, 2, 3: "My SON, keep my words; lay up within you my commandments (for use when needed) and treasure them. 2 Keep my commandments and Live, and keep my law and teaching as the apple (the pupil) of your eye! 3 Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart." - 'The Amplified Bible'. To reflect the ambience of the Master's Character I must practice to obey His words and to DO this I must firstly hold infinitely the absolute Truth of God's Holy Spirit in my heart." SELAH. - Kim.

ALONE ?

"IF your'e ever lonely, your'e not alone...

So many people all around us and we still feel lonely. NOT all the time, BUT sometimes. We reach out to find someone who understands or who cares or who'll just listen, and we find no-one there.

All sorts of things contribute to it: old age, unemployment, immigration or divorce. ULTIMATELY however, we all face the reality that no-one else really understands us. No-one can know our thoughts, no-one knows the deep joys or the dark secrets. Not ever ourselves, fully.

THIS is the reality. ULTIMATELY we are all alone, it's only in the quiet or hard times that we really feel it.

But that's only half the story. The Bible says:

You (God) created every part of me; you put me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139, verse 13. - 'GOOD NEWS BIBLE'.

WHEN I am ready to give up, he (God) knows what I should do... WHEN I look beside me, I see that there is no one to help me, no one to protect me. No one cares for me, Lord I cry to you for help; you Lord, are my protector, you are all I want in this life. Psalm 142, verses 3 to 5. - 'GOOD NEWS BIBLE'.

"Do not be worried and upset," Jesus told them. "Believe in God and believe also in me." John Ch. 14, verse 1. - 'GOOD NEWS BIBLE'."
