** 'CHILDREN Learn WHAT They LIVE' ... .**

If a child lives with criticism - he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility - he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule - he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame - he learns to be guilty.

*If a child lives with tolerance - he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement - he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise - he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness - he learns justice.
If a child lives with security - he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval - he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship - he learns to find love in the world.

The story is told of a young Christian who, having accepted Christ, went home that night and before going to sleep, read these words in his Bible:
"He who has the Son has life."
"Thank you, he said, "I know I am saved because the Bible says so." In the night, the adversary came to him and said, "You are not saved. It's all a myth." Switching on the light, he opened his Bible at the verse he had read before, then putting his finger on the verse, said to the foe/devil "There it is - read it for yourself!"

*Prayer:
Lord, how foolish I have been to listen to the/my adversary's doubts. I see so clearly how THIS has caused me to lack the assurance You want me to have. NOW I rest on Your Word and believe Your eternal truth. I am Yours, dear Lord, and You are mine, for time and through eternity. Amen.

PRAYER: Thank You, Father, for showing me the need to discipline myself. HOW glad I am that I do not have to rely on my will-power alone, but as I surrender fully to You, all your power sweeps into my being, helping me to become the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.

"I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts men from every nation" (ACTS 10: 34-35).

"We had been asked to leave our mission field and serve on our board's administrative team in the States.

FOR a year, Ev served as a guest professor at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky. When his teaching assignment ended, he was asked to become vice-president of field ministries. As I suddenly realized that I would not be going back to Korea, I prayed, "Lord, don't take Korea out of my heart, but stretch me to love other countries just as much." God did exactly that. An encounter on a flight from Singapore to Manila serves as an illustration.

A young family sat near me on the crowded plane. The beautiful mother had two small boys. NEXT to me sat the father, and before we were off the ground, he asked who I was and where I was going. He then told me that he worked for Gillette in the Philippines.

He began to ask questions about Christianity - not just, "Who is Jesus Christ?" but rather, "If God created us, who created God?" We talked at length about cults and Christianity. Before we parted, they invited us to their home.

At dinner around their lovely table, they accepted Christ. Two big tears trickled down the mother's lovely face - a sight I shall never forget. The following day, they met our missionaries, and later they were baptised.

My stretched heart included him, not a Korean but a Chinese from Malaysia who spoke impeccable English, lived in Manila and later emigrated to Australia.

THIS couple represents our world. Affluent? Yes.
But they had the same need to know Jesus.
(Jesus needs our love to reach others like them.)"
