* Handling Chicken SAFELY !

Today, with everyone so aware of salmonella and other bacteria that can easily be transmitted through raw chicken, the following standards bear repeating:

. Always wash your hands before and after handling raw chicken.

. THOROUGHLY wash all cutting boards and utensils you've used to prepare raw chicken.

. Make sure chicken is THOROUGHLY cooked (to 180deg.F.) before serving.

. IF chicken smells 'strange', THROW it out!
